Most cleaning companies quote a flat rate per house. It sounds simpler until you realise it only works if every house is the same, and the way companies protect a flat quote they got wrong is by rushing the last two rooms.
The Clean Technique bills by the hour and tells you the hour range up front. If the job takes less time than estimated, you pay for less time.
Maintenance
$35/hour
Recurring weekly, biweekly or monthly cleaning on an established checklist. The lower end of the range, because the house is already caught up.
Deep and specialty
$40/hour
Deep cleans, move-outs, post-renovation and organizing sessions. Slower work, harder on supplies, and usually the first visit for a new client.

About cost and billing
How much does cleaning cost?
$35–$40 per hour, depending on the type of work. Regular maintenance cleaning sits at the lower end. Deep cleans, post-renovation work and organizing sessions sit at the upper end because they are slower and harder on supplies. You get an hour range in writing before anything is booked.
Why hourly instead of a flat rate per house?
Because a flat rate only works if every house is the same, and they are not. Hourly means you are not subsidising someone else’s larger home, and it means Stephanie is not rushing the last two rooms to protect a quote she got wrong. The hour range is agreed up front, so you still know what to expect.
How do I pay?
E-transfer after the visit is the simplest and what most clients use. Cash is fine too. Recurring clients get invoiced on a schedule that suits them.
What is your cancellation policy?
Twenty-four hours notice and there is no charge. Less than that and the booked time is hard to fill, so it gets billed at the usual rate. Illness and genuine emergencies are treated as exactly that.
What is not included?
Anything needing a licence or specialised gear: mould remediation, carpet steam cleaning, exterior windows at height, biohazard cleanup, pest work and hoarding situations. Stephanie will say so up front and can usually recommend someone local.
